  • Anthony Hopkins as Dr. Hannibal Lecter

    Hannibal Lecter

By popular request, here is Anthony Hopkins as Dr. Hannibal Lecter from 1991 film “The Silence of the Lambs”

Sean Connery, John Hurt, Jeremy Irons, Christopher Lloyd, Patrick Stewart, Louis Gossett Jr., Robert Duvall, Jack Nicholson, and Robert De Niro were all considered for the role of Dr. Hannibal Lecter. Director Johnathan Demme wisely settled upon Sir Anthony Hopkins whose performance is shortest ever to win a Best Actor is a Leading Role Academy Award.

    An interesting piece of trivia:
Both Roger Corman and George A. Romero have a cameos in Silence of the Lambs, Romero as the bearded man who accompanies Chilton and the two guards who forcibly remove Clarice Starling after her final meeting with Lecter, and Corman as the F.B.I. Director.

    Tattoo SketchHere’s my sketch.

After the DeadPit movie I couldn’t sleep so I drew up a sketch of a tattoo I’ve been itching to get.  This is a character I made a while back that has sort of become a mascot of sorts.  I usually draw him inside of books when people buy them.  I ended up biting the bullet and having Chris McMillen from Ink Well Tattoo do it.

Chris is an AMAZING artist, his stuff is freaking mind blowing.  I am extremley flattered that he took what I did and did it exactly like I had drawn it, he could have reinturpreted it and made it into something a 100 times better, but instead it looks exactly like my handwriting, as if I did the ink myself.  Amazing.  Chris and I ended up trading prints with each other.  Great guy…

Tattoo FinalAnd here’s the final piece.

Linda BlairHere’s Linda Blair with my portrait of Regan

I left a print of my Regan portrait with Linda’s assistant for her to sign for the silent auction, a little while later a couple of people from the con came to by table abd asked if i was the one who drew the pic of her, I thought I was getting in trouble. But it ended up she really liked it and wanted to meet me. She said she liked it a lot and wanted to know if I’d give her one, which I did, but not I’m wishing I would have made her BUY one instead! She was raking money in hand over fist!  Why is it always the big time celebs who get all kinds of free shit?

Anyway, a few others I want to mention.

Joe from Fast Custom Shirts,  what a cool guy, be sure to check out his HUGE selection of shirts, HIGH QUALITY shirts for CHEAP!!!!  $10.00 You can’t beat that with a blood caked bat!

Patrick Rea was kind enough to give me a DVD of his amazing short films… Check him out at SenoReality.com

Billy Noel from Ink & Dagger Tattoo, really cool guy and a hell of an artist!  Check him out!

Tim Gross, from Gross Movie Reviews, really funny guy, and pretty likeable for a Penguins fan.  Take a look at his site.

Scott Blair was kind enough to trade a couple of his kick ass pinup girl prints with me.  Check his stuff out here!

I’d also like to thank everyone who bid on the prints I donated to the Make A Wish Foundation silent auction, it’s an honor to help such a great cause!

Mostly I’d like to thanks the fans and people who came and commented (and bought!) my stuff.  It was great to meet so many of you and to see you enjoy what I do.  Thanks for making Fright Night such an unforgettable con.

  • Fright Night Day 1

It’s been a blast so far, it’s always great to get out and meet so many fans.

I asked Linda Blair’s assistant to see if she would sign my portrait of Regan for the make a wish foundation… A little while later a couple of official looking people from the con came to my table and asked “Are you the one who drew the portrait of Linda Blair?” ibthougjt I was in trouble! Ends up she loved the portrait and wanted to meet me and asked if I’d give her a copy. So I did. So here is a picture of her with it.

Also, I had Steve Dash and Amy Steele sign my Tater Sack Jason (also for the auction) and as I was snaping a pic of Amy, Steve crept up behind her, so I was lucky enough to snap this great shot!
